This little kit had was just right to round out a gift of a S&W model 10 to my son. It contains everything for basic pistol/revolver cleaning except the oil. When the two brass rods are connected the working length of the rod is 6.25", not including handle knob or attachment jig (brush,patch holder) . It seems sturdy enough to provide long service if treated properly. Price is very good at under $10.
