The first time I’ve used this. New Simpson pressure washer and after using just a few times wanted to put it in storage until spring. Simpson recommends this to protect that (expensive to replace/repair) pump. FYI…On the PW I have, it’s really a two person job to inject this fluid into the pump properly. I used about 1/2 the bottle. Will use the other half ahead of next storage.Only reason for 4, as opposed to 5 Star rating for “ease of use” is 2-person need at time of fluid injection.Winterizing and treatment togetherVery difficult to squeeze into the pump. You need 4 strong hands or two people, one to squeeze the bottle and one to turn the pump.this is recommended to use in simpson power washer ---won't know if it works until springThis is a good product that will protect the valves in your washer. I made the mistake of storing my pressure washer for the winter three months in a heated garage and nearly lost the pump by not using a lubricant. It doesn't have to freeze for the pump valves to stick and fail. Use of a good quality pump antifreeze lubricant will save the pump. I found this brand was difficult to use. I squeezed the bottle with both hands as hard as possible and it still took multiple tries to get the lubricant through, although it finally worked. Bottom line, there are many pump lubes out there, be sure to use one. I hope someone finds an easier method of forcing the lubricant through the pump.Pretty simple to useEasiest solution to winterize your pressure washer. Bought current pressure washer after previous one had cracked water pump, probably from incomplete winterizing. Expensive lesson. Will use this every year. (only used 1/2 a bottle for mine)This connected up to my pressure washer like a charm. I haven’t fired it up yet this spring to make sure it worked, but it was much easier to use than antifreeze to protect the pump. Only reason for four stars, it the product leaked once it was open. I had plenty left over for another year, but it tipped over and spilled in my truck floorboard.
