Magnetism to hold screw.It works great, occasionally I work on my world truk And I use these to remove screws, tight or remove hose clamps, I like It because the handle is made of aluminum and it is knurled does not metter if my hand has grease or oil it has a good gripI had to change my review this is a great screwdriver great colors there’s a magnet at the top and bottom so that the bits are magnetic and the base is magnetic if you want to stick the screwdriver on a magnetic surface you can.This thing is amazing! The quality of it is very nice and premium. It works with any metal screwdriver bit which makes this tool usable for almost anything. There is a magnet inside that allows it to hold screws for getting into tight spaces easily. Overall this is a great must have tool.well built and sturdy. good magnetVery well made tool.The screwdriver could have been perfect - heavy with a strong magnet and comfortable in the hand and just small enough to work as a palm screwdriver. BUT, for some mysterious reason the manufacturer decided to drill a hole through the entire metal handle which means that no pressure can be applied with the screwdriver or the bit gets pushed through the handle to push out the magnet and fall out the back. The design is so bizarre as to make me think that someone is trying to repurpose factory defects. If the handle had a back (as do 99% of screwdrivers out there) or at least had something to stop the magnet and bit sliding out under their own weight with the slightest shake...
